Role Overview:
Arena Labs is seeking a Coach Manager to oversee and support our team of performance coaches. Our contracted performance coaches guide frontline medical professionals through Arena Strive, our specialized human performance coaching platform. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of our coaching program, optimizing coach performance, and enhancing the clinician experience.

Arena Labs’ Coach Manager will play a pivotal role in refining the coaching experience, mentoring coaches, and driving program success for frontline healthcare teams. This individual will ensure that coaches are well-supported, aligned with our performance standards, and consistently deliver a high-quality coaching experience to clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach Management & Development:
- Hire, onboard and retain a team of remote performance coaches ensuring alignment with Arena Lab’s mission and values.
- Provide individualized mentorship, regular guidance to support growth and accountability.
- Foster a culture of community, curiosity and continuous learning across the coaching team.
- Coach Experience Enhancement:
- Implement strategies that enhance coach experience by ensuring each coach feels supported, empowered and connected to their impact.
- Establish systems to collect and integrate feedback from coaches and clinicians to guide meaningful improvements in coaching delivery.
- Monitor key coaching quality and engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive solutions.
- Program Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Work with Arena Labs leadership to refine coaching methodologies, develop best practices, and contribute to the evolution of our high-performance medicine coaching model.
- Contribute to the creation of knowledge resources, playbooks, and toolkits that codify and disseminate best practices across the coaching team.
- Pilot and evaluate new coaching tools, training modules, or protocols to ensure the coaching program remains effective, scalable and grounded in best practices.
- Arena Coach:
- Serve as a performance coach for a small group of clinicians, modeling excellence in coaching delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Psychology, Exercise Science, Human Performance or related field. Strong preference for advanced degrees.
- Leadership & Coaching Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in coaching within a high-performance environment such as elite sport, military or related.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and support coaches in delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage multiple coaches, optimize workflows, and quickly provide guidance to coach questions as they may relate to clinician communication, performance science, or app experience.
- High-Performance Mindset: Deep understanding of human performance principles, including mental skills, sleep and recovery optimization, exercise and movement strategies, and nutrition practices.
- Healthcare Experience: Proven experience in, or familiarity with, clinical and hospital settings, demonstrating a solid grasp of healthcare operations, culture, and environments..
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing or leading coaching teams in healthcare, elite sports, military, or other high-performance fields.
